Starting to think about 2011 Okanagan Erotic Art Show

I have a group on Facebook, you are welcome to join. In there there are some discussions going on, one of which is about potential future themes. Please feel free to join in there, or post a comment below on what you think might be a terrific future theme. Thoughts are also tending towards a May month long show at Ex Nihilo after Spring wine fest, or else in September before Fall wine fest. This is not solid, but once I know I will post up the time, and put out the call. Once again, the call will be open to Canada and the US.

I am also starting to put together a list of potential awards – one will be the People’s Choice Award, where attendees can vote on their favourite work, with an announcement on Opening Night. Another will be three jury Awards, one of which will be the Ex Nihilo Award – all these names are to be announced. If you are someone who would like to sponsor an award, contact me. If you would like to have the honour of naming an award as well, I am sure we can discuss it! Awards can be cash prizes, or gift certificates – you may even wish to be anonymous, how bout The Secret Admirer Award?

In the past, I said that I would be moving the show around to various places in the Okanagan, but I think that Ex Nihilo is a good place for it – the proprietors are open minded people and interested in art. The support that the show has gotten in just the week that it has been up has been amazing, enlightening and encouraging. If you have not gone to see it yet, please do, it is up until November 9.
